Challenges

Client need was to simplify the process of entering data, accessing and updating the status of construction materials in real-time. They were in need of Material Tracking Application that can be accessed quickly and conveniently via a mobile Personal Data Assistant (PDA). The application has to be designed for the PDA utilities wireless or SIM card technology, a Global Positioning System (GPS) and it should also support bar code reading. The PDA interface in the application should allow workers to roam freely on site to conduct material data entry and stock take queries on the spot.

What we did

Based on client requirement we developed an application for the PDA utilities wireless or SIM card technology with Barcode scanning feature which would simplify the process of entering data, accessing and updating the status of construction materials in real time. Google Map integration & Google Earth Integration helped our client to find out the location of the product in warehouse. The PDA interface in the application allows workers to roam freely on site to conduct material data entry and stock take queries on the spot.
